Dr. Emilie Carpentier

Emilie started her residency in July 2024. She attended Queen’s University in Kingston, ON for her B.Sc. (Hons) in physics, and then completed her PhD in physics at the University of British Columbia under the supervision of Dr. Tony Mestrovic. Emilie’s PhD thesis explored four-dimensional treatment planning strategies and four-dimensional dose calculations for dynamic tumour tracking on the Vero linear accelerator. She also assisted Dr. Cheryl Duzenli in research that investigated skin dose for patients undergoing breast radiotherapy using the CARA (Carbon-fiber Adjustable Reusable Accessory), a novel breast positioning device.
